STAO2008 Annual Conference

Dynalon Labware is proud to be exhibiting at the STAO Annual Conference in Toronto from November 13th to the 15th. This conference is presented by Science Teachers' Association of Ontario.

Visit Steve Yudicky from Dynalon at Booth #206

Steve Yudicky, Dynalon's Product Manager drove up earlier in the week (convenient with us being located in Rochester, NY). Dynalon will be presenting our plastic lab supplies and some of the Stuart equipment line.

The theme for this conference captures the intent to provide a conference featuring student-centred learning experiences and resources that address the most important science and technology-related issues facing society and the environment today. The release of the revised Science and Technology (Grades 1-8) curriculum, and the upcoming release of the Science (Grades 9-12) curriculum, with their much greater emphasis on Science, Technology, Society, and the Environment (STSE) requires us to address this critically important aspect with a comprehensive and research-supported approach.

As with all STAO conferences, you will be provided a comprehensive and balanced program with topics and issues related to all aspects of Science and Technology and Science education. Similarly, there will be a superb exhibitors section, featuring the latest and most helpful products and services related to providing high quality Science and Technology, and Science programs for the students we serve.

End slips in the home and lab...

Dynalab Corp. has been offering a product called Slip-Stop for the past few years. It is an anti-slip matting sold in 6" by 16" strips but can be cut to 16" by whatever your project requires!

Slip Stop Matting is an inventive product with numerous uses ranging from the laboratory to your pet's food dish! End unnecessary slips with one small piece. Slip Stop mats hold objects firmly in place without the need for permanent fixing or clamps. This contributes to safety by reducing breakages and easing stress at the workbench.

In laboratories, Slip Stop can be used on shakers and stirrers to hold flasks, test tubes etc. safe and secure without the need for clamps. The mats can also be used to provide added product stability and safety for your valuable instruments. On workbenches, Slip Stop will hold components and tools, making it easier to work on them and preventing dropping and spillage, thus reducing accidents, fatigue and loss of small components.

This month's special includes 25% off this matting but you can also receive a free 4" x 4" sample by contacting Dynalab Corp direct. This month's mailing to our loyal customers included this free sample as well as an announcement of the 25% savings for the month of November.

Dynalon full line catalog in 2009

Dynalon Labware, the wholesale division of Dynalab Corp will be releasing a new full line plastic lab supply and science equipment catalog in early 2009. We are anticipating a catalog similar in size to our last full line, around 130 pages listing our most popular Azlon, Kartell and Sterilin product lines along with our plastic fabrication products made right here in Rochester, NY.

Dynalon relies heavily on our loyal distributors to sell direct to the end users and this catalog introduces many new products that we hope will cause a buzz in the market.

Plans are for this catalog to be available in January of 2009 with the pricing structure set up to match the dealer price books. Dynalon distributors will automatically be mailed the updated catalog along with a form for additional requests.

Should you have any questions or would like to reserve additional copies of our new 2009 Dynalon full line catalog please e-mail dynaloninfo@dyna-labware.com.

Happy Halloween!

Dynalab Corp. is very fortunate that our management is excellent at offering fun competitions and gatherings to bring the employees together. It has been tradition to have a costume party each year with winners competing more for the applause than the actual gift card or lottery tickets being given away. This year was no exception.

We had costumes ranging from Luke (shown left) wearing a dinosaur costume with a cave man riding shotgun to a nurse, some scary dudes and no Halloween is complete without a couple pirates! (Luke is my dog but he comes to work on occassion to eat everyone else's lunches. This saves me on dogfood expense and is certainly a bright spot to the hard work we all put in here at Dynalab.)

Thank you to everyone who participated in today's costume contest and congratulations to Karen Smedly this year's winner! Karen was dressed as an elderly woman who lost her puppy and if this picture was taken from behind you would certainly be able to help her find it! Great costume Karen.

Happy Halloween!

Logo Redesign and Graphics

New company, new logo!

It was time we broke free and lightened the load so to speak as the old logo was quite weighty and said nothing about our company. We had been using the previous logo since the late 1990's so it's time was up. Our new corporate colors are an orange and blue combination. The website will also undergo a facelift of sorts in the coming months.

We also redesigned the Dynalon (wholesale division) logo to include the phrase "quality.service.value". Both tag lines were chosen from employee entries. Along with this redesign came new trade show graphics and literature.

Our banner stands and table drops were purchased through Camelback Displays Inc. These will be shown for the first time at a Laboratory Product Sales tradeshow being held at Cornell University on Halloween day. Our Product Manager Steve Yudicky will also be showing off some of our new Kartell products being introduced for 2009.
This is an exciting new fiscal year for Dynalab Corp. so far. Thank you to all of our loyal customers!
